I qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Glasgow University in1993 and joined Pembroke Dental in 2004. I am specially trained to successfully manage the Oral Health needs of our patients. Having extensive experience in this area, I will help you achieve a healthy and fresh smile that you are looking for!
With our commitment to further training and development I provide the latest treatments to our patients with a gentle approach. My role as hygienist is to care for all ages – from kids to adults!
I initially assess your current Oral health and then I design a specific Oral health programme to match your needs – whether it is applying coatings [fissure sealants] on childrens teeth to protect them from decay, dietary analysis or demonstrating up to date cleaning techniques and brushes to help reach those awkward spaces!
Treatment required will be discussed with you and any queries answered. While putting you at your ease, I undertake routine scaling and polishing as well as advanced hygiene treatments to optimise your gum health. I can also help with the everyday discomfort of teeth sensitivity. By advising you how to reduce acidic challenges in your diet, changing and improving your oral hygiene techniques and the use of specific products, we can both work together to alleviate this problem.
